Costruito tra il 1908 e il 1912, il Forte Lusérn si trova a 1.549 metri sulla Cima Campo. Conosciuto come "Padreterno", insieme al Forte Busa Verle, ebbe un ruolo cruciale nella difesa del Passo Vezzena.


Dotato di quattro obici a cupola corazzati, due cannoni da 8 cm e 19 postazioni per mitragliatrici, il forte disponeva anche di gallerie e sentieri che lo collegavano agli avamposti di Oberwiesen e Viaz.


Anche dopo i pesanti bombardamenti dei primi giorni di guerra, il forte è sopravvissuto e, dopo il restauro, è oggi un luogo da visitare per conoscere la sua storia bellica.

Built between 1908 and 1912, Forte Lusérn sits at 1,549 meters on Cima Campo. Known as "Padreterno," it, along with Forte Busa Verle, played a crucial role in defending the Vezzena Pass.

Featuring four armored dome howitzers, two 8 cm cannons, and 19 machine gun positions, the fort also had tunnels and trails connecting to the outposts of Oberwiesen and Viaz.

Even after heavy bombardment in the early days of the war, the fort survived and, after restoration, is now a must-visit place to explore and learn about its wartime history.
