Der Titel des Stücks Dong Mu I Mu ist koreanisch und bedeutet „gleiche Bühne, anderer Tanz, zwei Geschichten“. In dieser Performance treffen traditioneller und moderner Tanz aufeinander. Ein einzigartiges Rendezvous von traditionellem koreanischem Tanz und zeitgenössischem deutschen Tanz, vergleichbar mit dem Aufeinandertreffen von traditioneller Tuschemalerei und einem westlichen Aquarells auf ein und derselben Leinwand.

Die Tänze des Abends:

Der Sanjo-Tanz – Der Tanz symbolisiert den Moment, in dem Improvisation und Variation eine andere Tanzform hervorbringen, den strukturierten Tanz.

Der Geommu-Tanz – Hier wird das Zusammenleben von Licht und Dunkelheit thematisiert. Jeonbok und Jeondae versuchen mithilfe des funkelnden Nongeom-Schwerts, sich mit dem zeitgenössischen Tanz und somit mit einer anderen Tanzform zu verbinden.

Der Salpuri-Tanz – Weiß & Schwarz. Wie ein weißer Kranich erschaffen die Tänzer*innen in weißen und schwarzen Kostümen einen Salpuri-Tanz des 21. Jahrhunderts.

The title of the dance performance Dong Mu I Mu means in the Korean language “same stage, different dance, two stories". In this event, traditional and modern dance come together, creating a unique fusion. The performance will showcase a special collaboration between traditional Korean dance and contemporary German dance, akin to the meeting of traditional ink painting and western watercolor on the same canvas.

Dances of the evening:

The Sanjo Dance - The improvisational nature of Sanjo dance blends with German contemporary dance improvisation. It is the moment when improvisation and variation give birth to another dance form, structured dance.

The Geommu Dance - The coexistence of light and darkness. Geommu, with its graceful boxing movements like jeollip, jeonbok, and jeondae, and the sparkling taste of the nongeom sword, attempts to combine with contemporary dance as another form of dance.

The Salpuri Dance - White & Black. Salpuri dance, filled with desires for vitality and excitement, challenges the tradition by meeting contemporary dance. Like evoking a white crane, the dancers in white and black costumes create a 21st-century salpuri dance.
